I have done a very good job of quitting the internet today, so as to study for tomorrow’s insane stats test. I’ve checked tumblr 3 times in total, which for a day spent at home is pretty astounding based on my addiction, and i’m only posting because of my having completed a 2 hour podcast session - and i’m about to start another. Just a small brag. Thinking pretty...

Turkish bread - good. And also, Bacon and eggs - good. You do the math. Or, better yet, my digestive tract presently will. This probably won’t help me study, but I sure am going to pretend like it might.

La Quiete House Show
letsjustforget: So, last night La Quiete played a house show at Max and Errol’s house. Max kicked off the night playing one song, and I swear that kid plays the most moody, fascinating music. Birth of Bison had some of the fastest drumming I’ve seen and Quiet Steps played one of the tightest sets I’ve watched them play in a while (mic dramas aside). La Quiete then took off their shirts, their...

Holy Shit, I've never wanted to go to Perth...
secondgradefresh: Has anyone seen this lineup??? Heading the bill is none other than Antony and The Johnsons. Led by the singular Antony Hegarty, the group will be accompanied onstage by the 36-piece West Australian Symphony Orchestra. If that prospect isn’t incredible enough, the Becks Music Box returns to the Esplanade for a series of outdoor concerts. Among the artists on board are New...

I just found out that if Lion Island stays in the Top 2 for this ridiculous Uncharted contest we’ve been hyping for the last month, we get flown to Sydney to play a grand final showcase at the annanndale. That grand final is part of the determining process to see if we play the Big Day Out nationally. This is absurd. And incredible.

La Quiete were amazing. To The North were amazing. Could not have asked to come home in time for a better show. It was really nice to see heaps of people too. Good people. Are good.

faketrain: platitudeproblem: I feel I may be too exhausted to appreciate just how indie tonight’s halloween show is. Architecture In Helsinki members are the surprise DJ’s, and another member is dressed as a rubiks cube. All of My Disco are here. The first dude to buy merch turns out to be Spiral Stairs’ lead guitarist. That, plus the indie bands, makes for a fairly scene evening. Macromantics...
